Quote:I've only had a couple of flakes in trades, mostly from Skylab Commerce. None of them are still in hardcore probably.
Profane Existence stiffed me for a copy of Nausea's LP when it came out - that's the only time I've been stiffed outright for an order. |

Why not write or call us with your problem before posting here? Mistakes happen all the time and aren't hard to fix. Email me the info about this order and I'll see about getting you your record. We've been doing distro since 1987 and have never knowingly ripped anyone off.

In my case it was before email was used by most people (myself included) and I did write a letter that went unanswered. I can't even remember what it is I ordered anymore. I know that the Absconded/Beyond Description and a Battle Of Disarm split with someone (maybe the Snifter split) were among them. Ah well, water under the bridge I guess.

Why would I write about it like ten years after the fact?
Because it's the only time I've had trouble ordering records and someone asked. There could've been a million reasons why I didn't get the record, $8 isn't that much to get riled up about. I don't remember if it was followed up, but by judging where I was at the time many years ago, it wasn't the most pressing matter.
Hell it's even less important now, close to 12 years later.
I will apologize for misleading any dullard out there who thinks my one missing record from whenever it was is an accurate reflection of Profane Existence's mailorder policy or their ability to use the post office at this current time.

P.E. well they can be slow but they have always delivered in the run long. As far as the mailorder when I have used it they have been pretty fast. In terms of paying for records they are slow....but I can and do live with this because I know Dan will follow through. When Blackened took a hiatus they owed schizophrenic a fair amount and sure enough we recieved a cheque within the year. Dan's commitment is enough to have me continuing to support the distro and zine, as well as send records for the distro knowing that I will be paid in PE time.

I set up a small trade (5 7"s for 5 7"s) with a guy named Mike Shelbourn of a band called Street Trash. He was getting back to me daily before the trade, and since i sent him the records there has been zero responce from him, and no records were sent to me. It's been about 2 months now... I'm still amazed that people in this scene do this kind of thing.
I don't know about the rest of his band, I am just talking about Mike himself.

I emailed Deadalive one last time and still no response. Fuck that guy - it's time for a smear campaign.
Nick Baran from Third Party also owes me stuff and never responds to emails. That sucks coz I know the guy personally and like him alot but c'mon, gimme my shit.

That guy Mr. Shelbourne has now sent me the records. Post marked May 7th, when he said he was going to send them out the week we got in touch. At least he sent them... The 7" of his old band (The Assailants) is equally a sketchy...

well goddamn. after nearly 2 years...i honestly gave up on this trade dead alive/manic sent their records. thank you very much. it is really apprecioated. they are off the list.
new additions to the list include a label in turkey who ripped me for 10 legion/bombstrike 7" and very/parts unknown who owe a large sum for 80 fucked up live lp's. once again i will posty once these folks make good.
cheers
